What is Interval Training?top
Interval training is an intense exercise program featuring dynamic exercises while using non-traditional weightlifting equipment such as kettlbells, sand-bags, suspension systems or water-filled implements. The program is structured in such a way that participants are challenged to do a certain number of repetitions in a workout in a specific time frame. The many benefits of Interval training are due to the intensity of the exercises. High intensity, power-based exercises are effective for burning a high number of calories in a short period of time while simultaneously improving aerobic fitness and promoting the anabolic hormones such as testosterone, HGH and IGF-1 which are responsible for muscular growth and can actually have an anti-aging effect. Interval training is an excellent workout program and is a great way for the experienced and non experienced exercise enthusiast to add much-needed intensity and diversity to his or her program. These are group instruction led classes. Each person works at his or her own fitness level.
Will I be able to participate if I'm not in good shape?top
Yes. All fitness levels are welcome to participate. Your safety is our number one concern, so you'll never be asked to perform more than you're capable of doing. But, you will be pushed to give 100% effort. Each class builds upon the previous class, so your body will be given time to adjust to the increased workload. We want our participants to have fun and get in great shape, which will happen if you attend all your scheduled classes.
Are there any pre-requisites?top
With our bodycamps, all of our exercises can be adjusted to most fitness levels. For our basic bodycamps, you should be able to jog for 30-60 second periods. Slow jogging is fine. We perform very short runs and in order for you to participate with the entire group, a minimum of slow jogging is necessary. However, if you need to walk before you run, then so be it.

If you attend each session, work hard, and eat a sensible diet, you will lose fat and tone up those areas of concern. Your energy will also increase, and you will see an improvement in your fitness level. Our programs include many exercises and activities to help firm up your thighs, tighten up your stomach, tone your arms and help you get rid of your unwanted body fat, and most of all become consistent with fitness. By increasing your metabolic rate (metabolism), you'll lose fat and gain muscle. You'll share the journey of others like you who want to make healthy lifestyle changes and get great results. We focus on the mental challenges we all face in life, and help you use exercise to stay focused and balanced.
What is the Fitness Evaluation?top
The Fitness Evaluation gauges your current fitness level and also examines your goals and ways we can achieve those goals. We will answer all questions you may have and will also review your medical history. If you would like, we will also take a few simple measurements to get an idea of where you are prior to beginning. The measurements are strictly for post-camp comparison. These measurements and all other personal information will be held in the strictest confidence.
What is the difference between your group classes and group classes at the gyms?top
At Body By Struggle and Destination U.G.L.I.E., we are a personal training studio. You receive very close instruction and attention to ensure that every movement and exercise is performed correctly. It's like having your very own personal trainer, rather than an instructor in the front of the class going through moves without proper instruction. We focus on form and technique to make every move effective as possible.
Who attends these kind of sessions?top
